Welcome to the  PTA (Parent, Teacher Association) section of the school website. We are a friendly group of dedicated volunteers striving to raise funds for our fabulous school. The PTA strengthens the link between home and school, bringing staff, parents and children together socially in support of the school. The PTA is a great way for new parents to make friends.

What we do

Every year the PTA raises money to fund the “extras” that are not provided by the school’s budget.  In the past year we have funded an Interactive Whiteboard in Elm class, Forest School Equipment, Christmas Presents for the Children and the quiet garden makeover. The majority of our funds are raised through the events that we run such as the Christmas Fayre, Fladbury Walkabout, Easter egg hunt, Disco’s etc including more one off events to raise more funds such as an auction of promises and bangers and bingo which has been great fun for both parents and children. We also fund (and often help make) the gifts that the children are able to give to Mum, Dad, Grandparents etc on special occassions such as Mothers Day and Fathers Day. We have some great new ideas for 2018 and 19 - however, we do rely on parents and friends of the school to help us run these events so please join in and have your say - you will be very welcome.

We usually meet twice each half term, however, if there is an event to be organised (such as the Walkabout) we may arrange to meet more frequently. Meetings are held in the evenings usually at the Chequers pub in the village, children are welcome if you are stuck for a babysitter. The date, location and time of meets are advertised in the Fanfare as well as posted on the notice board at school along with our Facebook parents page which all hold information on upcoming events. If you would like to help out but cannot attend the meetings you can join the Friends of the PTA and we will send you regular updates of what we are up to and details of how you can help out.
