Welcome to Oak Class!

Welcome back! It's been lovely to see Oak children back in school and we have enjoyed re-establishing friendships and routines already.

Autumn Term- 'Healthy Me and You'

After such an exceptional time this year, we are starting the new school year and term with a priority around wellbeing and health. We will explore how to keep healthy both physically and mentally through our topic 'Healthy Me and You'.

Our English will be centred on books that support this, starting with 'The Dot' by Peter H. Reynolds.

We will be exploring Place Value in Maths.

In RE, we will be focusing on our school value 'Friendship' and what the Bible says about this value and how friendship can help us with our own wellbeing.

PE will take place on Wednesday afternoons. This will take place outdoors so please wear a warm, suitable PE kit to school on that day (tracksuit, t-shirt, jumper and trainers).

Oak will have Outdoor Learning on a Tuesday morning with Miss Wilson, where they will be taking part in team-building activities.

Spelling tests will be on Fridays, please practice your words daily in readiness for this.

Reading books need to be taken home and brought back into school everyday but only changed on a Monday.

Communication can take place through Tapestry or by making an appointment through the Office.

Many thanks!

Miss Bailey
